Ms. Mattioli graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1969, and attended St. Joseph's College in Emmitsburg, Maryland from 1969 to 1971. She transferred to Glassboro State College in 1971, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with certifications in French and Spanish in 1973. She was awarded an Italian certification by the State of New Jersey in 1975. Ms. Mattioli was employed as a World Language instructor for Glassboro Public Schools from 1974 to 1985. She earned her M.A. in Student Personnel Services in 1983. She was then employed by the Gloucester County Institute of Technology (GCIT) as a counselor from 1985 to 1990. She was also employed as an evening counselor for the GED/ABE program at GCIT from 1983 to 1987. She returned to GHS as a Guidance Counselor in 1990 and has enjoyed "coming home."
