GATES MILLENIUM SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility – Significant financial need, African-American, American

Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American, Hispanic American,

3.3 GPA, leadership and community service.

Amount – Financial support for the cost of an undergraduate education in

any academic discipline.

NEW JERSEY SOCIETY OF CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANTS

Eligibility – Seniors who plan to pursue a career in accounting.

Amount - $6,500 to $8,500

JOHN F. KENNEDY PROFILE IN COURAGE ESSAY CONTEST

Eligibility – Grades 9-12, essay of 1,000 words or less that demonstrates an

understanding of political courage.

COMCAST LEADERS AND ACHIEVERS SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility – Seniors who live in a Comcast community. Demonstrate

leadership, community service and high academic standards.

Amount - $1,000

Deadline – December 7, 2012

NOTE: One senior will be nominated from Glassboro. Applicants should

submit a short statement on their involvement in leadership and community

service.

 

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region

There are a total of 55 scholarships awarded to local high school seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, financial need and plan on attending a 2 or 4 year college in the Fall of 2013.

There are 4 separate scholarship applications:
1.RMHC Scholarsare all eligible for all students to apply.

2.RMHC/African American Future Achievers-Must have at least one parent of African American or Black Caribbean heritage.

3.RMHC/Hispanic American Commitment to Education Resources-Must have at least one parent of Hispanic/Latino heritage.

4.RMHC/Asian Students Increasing Achievement-Must have at least one parent of Asian-Pacific heritage.

Amount: $500 cash,  a laptop computer, trip to Charlotte, NC to attend awards ceremony, and an engraved award for both the student and the student's school.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program
 
Amount: $10,000
 
Criteria: applicants must demonstrate leadership, drive, intergrity, citizenship, strong academic performance, financial need, and be a graduating senior planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited four-year college or university.

United States JCI Senate Foundation
 
Amount: $1,000
 
Criteria: graduating high school seniors in the United States, who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools.  Award must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study.

Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarship
 
Amount: $500-$5,000
 
Criteria: enrolled full-time as a high school senior, minimum GPA of 3.0, and U.S. citizenship or permanent resident.

Amount: $6,000
 
Criteria: available to students applying to Clarkson University, State University of New York Oswego, Drexel University, University of Cincinnati, Johnson & Wales University, University of Massachusetts Lowell, Kettering University, The University of Toledo, Rochester Institute of Technology, or Wentworth Institute of Technology.
