GLASSBORO BOARD OF EDUCATION
IDEAS FOR SAVINGS
Times are tough all over, and the Glassboro Board of Education is committed to engaging teachers and staff in the process of generating cost-containment ideas. Cutting costs frees up money that can be used in other areas.
“We aren’t just cutting costs because that is what school districts do in a tough economy. We want to watch our pennies because that means we can put the money into more important things to help our students succeed,” said Superintendent Dr. Mark Silverstein.
Dr. Silverstein encourages all district employees to submit ideas to our email suggestion box. Focus on ways to improve or eliminate recurring activities or expenditures made on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis in your building or department. Even the smallest changes in a recurring process can result in huge cost savings.
