I recommend that your child should read at least 15 min. daily( this includes you reading to your child). Your child must take three Accelerated Reader Tests (on the computer in school) each marking period. After your child has received a 90% or better on an A.R. test they should read a book with a high reading level. Our goal is to "Accelerate " them through reading.

 

Your child must read and take 2 A.R test 1st mk pd.

 3 A.R test the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th marking periods.

  In order to  keep track of their thinking your student should use their Monthly Work Station Portfolio. This will enable them to work on fluency, read informational and narrative text, and think within, beyond, and about the text. Enhance skills taught in small groups.
